Gun Violence as a Public Health Issue

Many of you have seen this video, but I feel compelled to share it again. This graphic was created by Periscopic, down in Portland.

I had the good fortune of taking a Data Visualization class with one of their data scientists recently, and she showed us this work. It's hard to take your eyes away from this - it's so beautiful. But the haunting story it tells is told in so few words, it's completely unforgettable.
