Inside the Ticker

Merrill Lynch Inside the Ticker is a native Windows 8 application built as an extension to a previously released video series on MSN (also called Inside the Ticker). This app features streaming video from the MSN libraries as well as infographics, but its highlight is the in-app stock trading simulation.

Role

As lead PM on this project, I negotiated the initial schedule, features, and design with an internal design team, and then oversaw its development through a PM who managed the day-to-day development scrums for this 4-month project.

Success Metrics

• Top 10 Windows 8 application

• Merrill Lynch extended their advertising buy with Microsoft 4-fold as a result of this work

• Application lifecycle was extended another 6 months, with the expectation Merrill Lynch will both renew the project and extend the capabilities further through its relationship with Microsoft.
